Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Our ‘Wear it Pink’ Day at HPMS

wear it pink hpms

At Hacking and Paterson Management Services (HPMS), we’re proud to have joined the national ‘Wear it Pink’ day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Both our Edinburgh Office and Glasgow Office participated enthusiastically, making it a day full of energy, laughter, and a whole lot of pink as our entire team came together to raise awareness for this incredibly important cause.

The day was successfully organised by a few of our dedicated employees who pulled out all the stops to make it special. From the moment you stepped into the office, it was clear that pink was the colour of the day. Every member of staff embraced the theme by wearing their brightest pink clothes, creating an office-wide pink overload that set the perfect tone for the occasion.

One of the day’s highlights was our all-day bake sale in the office hub. Some of our talented team members kindly baked and donated a delicious selection of homemade treats, from cupcakes and sponge cakes to brownies. It was wonderful to see so many people contributing their time and baking skills to raise money. Staff members were able to indulge their sweet tooth by donating for a cake, with all proceeds going toward breast cancer research.

We also hosted a Pink Raffle with some truly amazing prizes up for grabs. We want to extend a massive thank you to our friends and contractors who generously donated prizes that made the raffle such a hit. The prizes included chocolates, sweets, fizz, pink hampers, and loads of vouchers for fantastic places like Miller and Carter, Di Maggio’s, Killermont Polo Club, Bocadillo Coffee, La Vita, Itison, and Amazon. One lucky winner even bagged a day of extra annual leave…the most favourite prize of all!

Lunchtime brought even more fun with our Pink Quiz! Staff teamed up to tackle a range of questions, all based on a PINK theme. From pink trivia to pop culture, the competition was fierce, but ultimately, one team emerged victorious and snagged a prize for their impressive pink knowledge. It was a great way to break up the day, have some laughs, and build team spirit.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all the staff in both Edinburgh and Glasgow who took part in this special day. Your generous donations, participation in the bake sale, raffle, and quiz, and of course, your pink attire, helped make this day a success. A special shoutout to our organisers, who went above and beyond to ensure the day was not only fun but also meaningful.

Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month through initiatives like ‘Wear it Pink’ is about more than just having fun; it’s about raising awareness and much-needed funds for breast cancer research. At HPMS, we are dedicated to supporting events that unite communities and raise awareness for diseases like breast cancer. Every contribution, no matter how small, plays a crucial role in funding life-saving research and fostering hope for those impacted by this illness. Together, we can make a difference. ??

The results…

We are thrilled to announce the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices, together, have raised an incredible grand total of £1523.10. We’re incredibly proud of how our HPMS family came together for this important cause. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to support these vital charitable events.
