We are thrilled to congratulate Fiona Neil on her recent promotion to Team Manager at HPMS! Excited and motivated to take on the challenge of leading her team and district, Fiona has shared her thoughts on this new opportunity and gave us some insight into her journey and goals.

Fiona Neil began her journey at HPMS on September 20, 2021, marking three years with the company last Friday. Prior to joining HPMS, she spent two years in Australia, where she worked as a content moderator for a mental health app and as a customer service representative for a clothing head office. Fiona started her career at HPMS as an Assistant Property Manager, eventually progressing to Property Manager and now starting her new role as Team Manager.

This new role allows her to take on more responsibility and oversee the operations of 99 developments in her district. Although the position comes with its challenges, Fiona is confident it will be rewarding.

“I’m most excited about the chance to lead my team and make strategic decisions that will improve the way we manage our developments,” Fiona shares. “It’s an opportunity to impact how smoothly things run and build stronger relationships with homeowners, contractors, and my team.”

Fiona’s immediate focus is ensuring her team feels supported while improving communication with homeowners and contractors. She is determined to streamline the management of the developments in her district, ensuring outstanding issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

“I’m looking forward to developing stronger leadership skills, especially in managing both a team and district. Gaining more experience with complex property management issues and learning how to implement strategies that benefit homeowners, and the company are key goals of mine,” Fiona explains.

In the long term, Fiona is not only focused on excelling in her role as Team Manager but also building her own portfolio of flats. As someone passionate about property management, she sees this as an opportunity to deepen her industry knowledge and secure her future.

Reflecting on her career so far, Fiona is most proud of two key achievements: passing the TPI Property Factoring Diploma exam and stepping up to manage a colleague’s team during their extended absence. Both experiences showcased her dedication and ability to take on challenges head-on.

When asked what advice she would give her younger self, Fiona says, “Believe in yourself—you’re more capable than you realize. Confidence is key and embracing that earlier would have made a big difference in overcoming challenges and pursuing opportunities.”

Looking ahead, Fiona is focused on her goals, both professional and personal. Among her dreams is to run a marathon and travel to Japan, two items at the top of her bucket list. With her determination and focus, there’s no doubt she’ll continue to achieve great things in her career and beyond
