At HPMS we are always working to deliver first-class factoring services to our customers and in our centenary year, we are ready to implement some changes we have been working on to help us continue improving the service we provide.
Our business continues to grow organically, much as it has over the first 100 years and we continue to be delighted to have the privilege of working with homeowners throughout Scotland. Through our organic growth, our Team Managers and Property Managers have found themselves covering a varied geographical district, often spending considerable time “on the road” to visit our customers around the country.
After careful review and consideration of our customers feedback we believe that organising our services on a geographical basis will help us provide you with a more tailored and local factoring service. We are confident this is the approach that will best serve our customers needs and will offer the following advantages;
- Our Property Factoring Teams have in-depth knowledge of high quality contractors, and we ensure that contractors deployed on your behalf hold the appropriate insurance. Our new approach will enable your Property Team to strengthen their knowledge and understanding of local contractors and continue to work closely with you and your neighbours to ensure that where appropriate, local contractors are deployed on your behalf.
- We have always considered it important to have a good understanding of what Grant Assistance may be available from your Local Authority and believe that you will benefit from the strengthened relationship with Local Authorities that will result from our localised approach.
- At HPMS, we have always advocated building relationships with Local Authorities, MSPs and other stakeholders. This can assist greatly where there are local issues that may affect you and your property, and our localised focus will enable your Property Team to continue to strengthen these important relationships.
- The geographical approach will enable your factoring team to continue to strengthen relationships with key contacts within your local council such as contacts for refuse collection etc.
- Working within a defined geographical footprint will help further reduce our carbon footprint in addition to affording your property team the opportunity to spend more quality time on your property.
To further strengthen and specialise the factoring services that we provide, we will operate designated Property Factoring Teams who will factor our customers developments of houses only, whose common areas do not include tenement or apartment blocks. Where this is the factoring service we currently provide to you, we believe the changes will have the following benefits for you;
- The strengthened ability to build relationships with local Ground Maintenance Contractors
- An even sharper focus on meeting with homeowners to obtain an understanding of what ground maintenance works may be required by/benefit the collective ownership such as improved planting, refurbishment of play equipment, feature walls and other amenity items
- A deeper understanding of who the best Local Authority point of contact may in relation to important matters such as bin collection etc/for your community.
- The strengthened opportunity to work with your qualified playpark inspectors to enable short-, medium- and long-term maintenance
- Improved communication with Local Authorities in relation to road maintenance etc.
Although our IT support system will retain all information in relation to recent repairs or current considerations at your property, where appropriate your outgoing Property Team has now met with the new Property Team to ensure that they are fully appraised. In addition to this, each Team Manager will continue to be supported by a Team Lead and the oversight of a Property Factoring Director.
Your local Property Factoring Team will introduce themselves to you soon and will always be pleased to speak with you to discuss your property, we all look forward to providing you with a first-class local factoring service for the future.
