MacMillan Cancer Support

As you will note from our previous articles, as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local and national charities, Hacking and Paterson have decided to form a Charitable Giving Initiative for 2021. The company is committing to donating £500 each month to a different charity and we invited all our employees to nominate the charities that they would like Hacking and Paterson to consider making a donation to in 2021.

We are delighted to advise that MacMillan Cancer Support was nominated by a number of our employees and will therefore receive our donation of £500 for April.

Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. It also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care.

Michelle Campbell, Relationship Fundraising Manager (Scotland South and West,) Macmillan Cancer Support said:

“This is an acutely challenging time for people living with cancer, the NHS and for cancer care. We are doing whatever it takes to make sure our vital support continues to be available.

“Funding is needed more than ever, so for Hacking and Paterson to donate £500.00 is greatly appreciated at this time. This type of donation pays for a Macmillan Information and Support Assistant for 1 week, helping people living with cancer receive the help they need.

“We would like to thank Hacking and Paterson for their support this year and for the amount raised.”
