We’re excited to shine a spotlight on Kirsty Rodger, who has recently been promoted to Team Manager at HPMS. Since joining us in 2022, Kirsty has shown incredible dedication, hard work, and a genuine passion for building strong relationships. Her promotion is a fantastic achievement, and we couldn’t be happier for her!
Kirsty joined HPMS as a Trainee Property Manager in mid-2022, straight after graduating from the University of Glasgow. She’s truly appreciative of the support she’s received along the way, which has helped her navigate her career with confidence.
Kirsty’s promotion is a result of her dedication to personal and professional growth. “I feel really grateful that my hard work as a Property Manager has been recognised,” she says, acknowledging her previous team manager and colleagues for their continued support during her transition.
At just 25, Kirsty is already incredibly proud of her achievements. “I’m really proud of my promotion to Team Manager,” she shares. “I’m excited about continuing to grow, both personally and professionally.”
Her priority as Team Manager is to work closely with the team’s Property Managers to identify strengths and priorities. “Our first step is to meet as many clients as possible, get their feedback, and really get to know the homeowners in our district,” she says.
In her new role, Kirsty is looking forward to building even more meaningful relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues. “I feel that some of my biggest strengths lie in building these relationships,” she explains. “I’m excited to meet new people and help our clients manage their most important assets.”
Kirsty is also committed to her professional development. She’s currently preparing for her TPI Diploma examination later this year, eager to continue expanding her knowledge and understanding of the industry.
As a newly promoted Team Manager, Kirsty is dedicated to ensuring her clients fully understand the role HPMS plays in managing their properties. “I want to make sure our clients know our team is approachable and encourage more feedback from homeowners,” she says. “This helps homeowners get a better understanding of what we do, and it allows us to tailor our management approach to meet their needs.”
Looking ahead, Kirsty’s career goals are all about embracing new challenges and empowering her colleagues. “I hope to keep challenging myself, taking the initiative, and helping my colleagues feel confident and positive about their roles,” she says. Her dedication to her role shows that she’s invested in not only her own growth but the success of HPMS as a whole.
One of the things Kirsty finds most rewarding about her job is helping her team grow. “I take real pride in watching our team develop and become more confident in their work,” she says. “Supporting their growth is something I really look forward to.”
Throughout her journey, Kirsty has learned how important it is to consult with homeowners and colleagues. “I’ve gained a real appreciation for the importance of consultation, making sure I fully understand how to take action and move things forward,” she reflects.
Looking back, Kirsty would advise her younger self to stick with her conscientious mindset but also take the time to enjoy the journey. “I’d tell my younger self to stay focused, but also have more fun along the way,” she says with a smile.
Outside of work, Kirsty enjoys ticking exciting experiences off her bucket list, like skydiving from 15,000ft on the East Coast of Australia. “I’m always making plans and putting them into action,” she says, clearly someone who loves to live life to the fullest.
In addition to her career successes, Kirsty’s passion for shinty has taught her valuable life skills that she applies to her work. “Training for shinty has helped me develop consistency, discipline, and the ability to stay calm under pressure,” she explains. “I bring those lessons into my role at HPMS, making sure I stay organised, focused, and positive.”
As Kirsty continues to thrive in her role, we celebrate her achievements and look forward to the milestones she’ll reach in the future. Her journey is a testament to the power of dedication, passion, and a willingness to embrace new challenges. We wish her the best of luck as she prepares for her TPI Diploma exam!
Well done, Kirsty, from all of us at HPMS! ?
